The net is an essential component of the QISTA solution. It catches the mosquitoes and keeps them inside the trap. The mosquitoes are then destroyed in this net.

In use for 15 hours a day (recommended for maximum efficiency), the net must be manually emptied on a regular basis for optimal operation of the trap. To empty the capture net, hold it by pinching the top of the net to stop mosquitoes from escaping. Then empty the net after shaking it to neutralise the living mosquitoes.
